What Isn't Yours to Carry: Inheritance, Midlife and Identity
Irish tradition applied to what women in midlife are actually carrying - family, money, religion, roles, and the rage. Each episode takes one piece of it and works out what it's costing you now.
Some of what you carry is yours to keep, and some of it was handed to you by people who are long dead, by a church that stopped asking your opinion a long time ago, or by roles you took on so gradually that nobody ever named the day you agreed to them. Telling those apart is most of the difficulty, and it's what this show is for.
The material is grounded in living Irish tradition and in the history behind it, never in anything borrowed from somewhere else and relabelled. You get where the thing came from, what it's doing to you now, and what you'd do differently this week.
