Fáilte, welcome to the Cailleach’s Call

We are hosting a private one day workshop in an exclusive County Waterford resort venue, Faithlegg House Hotel, for midlife women in Ireland (and around the world, through our online attendance option).

This is for women who are carrying ancestral or religious pressure or trauma wounds, feeling unsteady in midlife change, or unsure who they are now that old roles are falling away.*

You’re holding old grief that isn’t yours, your midlife shift is louder than you expected, and the identity that once held you no longer fits. You’re not broken. You’re in a threshold. And you don’t have to navigate it alone or in confusion.

This transformational day is for all of us who feel something rising and something collapsing at the same time.

The Cailleach’s Call gives you a grounded Irish way to steady yourself, soothe inherited pressure, and see your own life with clarity again. This isn’t a big public event, it’s a small, accountable space for women who want depth, integrity, and real guidance rather than vague positivity or tourist spirituality.

Who is this for?

This workshop is for midlife women who are successful and comfortable in many areas, but still:

  • You feel waves of anxiety or guilt from 'nowhere' and know they don’t fully belong to you, yet they still sit on your chest in the dark hours before dawn.

  • You carry echoes from family, religion, abuse, or ancestry that tighten without warning, and you’ve never had language for it until now.

  • You were raised to be good, quiet, reliable, supportive, or useful, and something in you is breaking under the weight of that old role.

  • Your midlife change feels (or felt) like a rupture, not a gentle transition. You’re steady on the outside and overwhelmed inside, and you can’t afford to fall apart.

  • You feel like you’re grieving someone you used to be, even when nothing overtly 'bad' has happened.

  • You have wisdom but nowhere to put it, and you’re tired of feeling invisible, dismissed, or like your life is narrowing instead of widening.

  • You’ve done therapy, journalling, spirituality, wellness, all of it, but nothing has touched the deeper pattern you know is running underneath.

  • You’re successful and competent, yet there’s a quiet question behind everything right now: Who am I when I’m not holding everything together?

  • You feel a pull back to Ireland, or into Irish tradition, not as escapism but because something about it speaks to the part of you you’ve never been able to name.

  • You want depth without performance, clarity without cheerleading, and a grounded Irish approach that won’t ask you to pretend, shrink, or spiritually bypass your real life.

  • You want to do this work with someone who knows the land, the lore, the pressure, and the thresholds from lived experience, not a borrowed framework, a rebranded New Age system, nor toxic positivity.

* This work is open to all women.

It’s for anyone who may carry the pressures, expectations, or social conditioning placed on women, which includes trans women and many non binary or trans masculine people.

If you see yourself in this, it is for you... welcome to the Cailleach's Call.

Your Guide for this Journey is Rev. Lora O’Brien, MA.

A native Irish Educator, Author, Guide, Grandmother, and Bandraoi with over thirty years of lived Irish spiritual practice, Lora has long worked at the meeting point of ancestral healing, cultural memory, and personal sovereignty, drawing from a lifetime of community service, ritual leadership, scholarship, and deep relationship with the Irish landscape and traditions. Her approach is always direct, culturally grounded, and firmly rooted in right relationship, offering clarity without appropriation or performance.

A Real Experience Shared

“This hit so hard – I felt seen for the first time. I’ve had these waves of anxiety all my life and thought it was just me. I tried your grounding practice straight away and by the end I had tears running down my face. It brought relief I didn’t even know I needed.”

From Our Email...

Dear Lora, just wanted to say a huge thank you for the grounding practice and the positive impact it's already had.

Your video about this really spoke to me. Amongst all the crazy menopausal madness, I have felt exactly as you described, but put it down to just another weird symptom. So I was intrigued to try your process.

As soon as had access to the audio, I wanted to try it out immediately, just to get familiar with it. Here's the thing - despite not feeling I desperately needed the practice in that moment - by the time I had spoken aloud to set the boundaries and come to the end of the practice I had tears running down my face.

It shouldn't have been a surprise, as I know the quality of your work, have some of your books and been following IPS for a while and so grateful for the amazing content you and Jon share.

Thank you so much. (Name withheld as this was sent as a private communication)
